Last week France 2 TV channel showed the daily series about line dance that they filmed in January. As well as the items showing Robert that I've already mentioned, we also saw him giving an NTA teacher training class and an evening at Billy Bob's saloon at Disneyland, where it all really started in France.
The cameras also took us to Marseille featuring instructor and DJ Denys Ben and to a really typical Country line dance club where the members were rehearsing a demo dressed in full Western garb. All in all the programme showed a pretty representative picture of the line dance scene over here, going from the Urbanite Parisians perfecting their dance technique with the latest lines, to the full Americano fans at a Country Western festival. Something for everyone in fact.
And if you looked very carefully, you could just about spot me in the background in Robert's class. I really looked FAT!
April will be a quiet month where dance is concerned, but I'm looking forward to mid-May when we will celebrate 15 years of line dance at Billy Bob's Disneyland Paris.
