The weekend didn't get off to the best of starts for Rachael with her I-pod being stolen in the airport and her suitcase not being on the plane. So after a frantic dash to the local supermarket to pick up some essentials and contacting home to have her dance music emailed over, Rachael arrived at the venue.
The weekend was kicked off with some warm up dances before the clubs children's group put on a mini show. Rachael followed with a show of her own and a workshop. Dancing was what everyone had come for, and dance they did. After Rachael's performance social dances finished the night off perfectly.
Saturday took in more workshops, some private classes and a performance in west coast swing by Rachael and her Norwegian partner Arild Lekanger. Chinese food was ordered in for dinner giving everyone the chance to get to know each other a little bit better. Fact finding included nuggets of information such as Rachael starting to dance at 4, her favourite country artist being Tim McGraw and her former training as a swimmer.
Unfortunately the weekend seemed to be going very fast and Sunday came quickly round. All the dances learnt over the weekend were practised again before goodbyes were said and Rachael was waved off to the airport.
Kristiansand Linedancers said how much they enjoyed the weekend, and want to thank Rachael so much for sharing the weekend with them.
