Voice Of Country is probably the most exciting radio station you could ever wish to listen to.... And Linedancer will soon play a part in its line up. Saturdays will never be the same again.....
Voice of Country is teaming up with Linedancer magazine to bring to the UK USA's Number One music format! Voice of Country plays music you won't hear anywhere else in the UK, and also brings you an exclusive on-air edition of LInedancer magazine every month.
Voice of Country (VoC) is the successor to the UK's first national Country music station, 3C, which broadcast from 1999 through 2007 on DAB, Freeview and online.
When 3C's parent company was acquired by new owners, they decided not to pursue the Country format. However, the station's management team was allowed to take over, including the entire music library, to carry on as a new station, VoC.
VoC is the first radio station in history to broadcast to the UK 24/7 from Nashville, Tennessee. We offer a unique music mix of current Country hits, Country gold, album tracks and Country dance music, presented completely commercial-free.
Kiss those annoying ad breaks goodbye!
Our ultra high quality stream delivers breath-taking sonic fidelity, surpassing the sound of FM or DAB radio. You've never heard the music sound as good as when it plays on VoC.
VoC also serves as a resource for UK fans to keep up with the latest music news, with exclusive interviews and performances, and participate in tours not only to Nashville, but also to Las Vegas and other top American attractions.
Specialist programmes on VoC include Country Countdown USA, with the Top 30 hits of the week and a different top Country star every week, co-hosting with Lon Helton. Past co-hosts have included Garth Brooks, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, Trisha Yearwood and many more.
Other shows include weekly programmes hosted by top stars Billy Yates and Trent Willmon, fan club shows where listeners can program the music of their favourite artists, and (of special interest to Linedancer readers), a six -hour weekly block of non-stop dance music, the Saturday Night Dance Party (continuing a tradition started by CMT Europe in the 1990's).
Linedancer magazine will play a large part in the dance party and in the music heard throughout the week. Songs that feature in current dances will be identified whenever they play on VoC throughout the week and Linedancer On Air will air during the Dance Party with features and music tied to the current issue of the magazine. We're living in a multi-media world, and Linedancer readers will now be able to both see and HEAR the magazine every month.
There is also a VoC On Demand feature that allows listeners to listen at their convenience to programmes they may have missed.
VoC is entirely listener supported, and the price of one coffee per month brings VoC into your home 24/7. For Linedancer readers, VoC is offering a special introductory rate of three months for the price of two, that's five pounds rather than seven pounds fifty. Or, listeners can opt for six months of VoC at the regular rate of 15 pounds (2.50/month) and receive FREE the latest George Strait CD, "Troubadour" (well worth 15 pounds on its own)!
Listeners simply email to LDoffer@voiceofcountry.com and we'll e-mail back the full details on how to sign up. Payments are made through PayPal, the widely-used and secure online payment system.
