Karl-Harry Wilson from Bournemouth in the UK is a Stage Performer as well as a choreographer.
"Well I first got into theatre when I joined Bournemouth’s Stagecoach Theatre School at the age of 14 (where I currently teach singing and vocal coaching to those students who are there now); I then moved on to Big Little Theatre School and continued with musical theatre performing in shows such as “Children of Eden” and “Spotlight”. After theatre school I decided I wanted to perform as my career so I took a 3 year BTEC Course at Brockenhurst College in performing arts. Here I took lead roles in shows such as: “The Importance of being Earnest”, “Bouncers”, “Godspell” and “A midsummer nights dream”. Continuing with this passion I have recently finished my 3rd year studying Musical Theatre at Winchester University. Since my education has now finished, I now take the time to do Musical Theatre workshops and teach younger people what I learnt in theatre school and how to showcase your performing ability on the stage. I have done this at many schools where I have also choreographed there musicals such as: ‘West Side Story’, ‘You’re a good man Charlie Brown’ and ‘Kiss me Kate’. A current member of Poole and Parkstones operatic society (P&P) I continually perform in their annual shows at the Lighthouse in Poole and am scheduled to Direct next year’s blockbuster concert for them and choreograph their next pantomime, ‘Aladdin’ (Oh no I’m not….Oh yes I am). Even though performing is a big part of my life, my first passion is Line dancing and I believe that without line dancing other styles of dance within musical theatre would be Alien to me, because Line dance allows you to explore different styles of movement e.g. Waltz, Cha Cha, this helped me as a stage performer and experience other styles of dance."
