Kim's first experiences in line dancing date back to 1994 when she discovered new country music whilst visiting The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville and Billy Bob's in Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas. On returning home, she started staging regular weekly events throughout London, Middlesex and Surrey. Most weekends involved corporate and private functions or entertaining on the club circuit. Kim has made regular appearances on BBC County Sound radio, discussing the phenomenon of line dancing. In 2003, she appeared in the promotional photo shoot for the stage production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers featuring Sam Kane, of Brookside fame, in the lead role. On the overseas front, Kim was invited to be on the panel of international judges headed by Bill Bader on the occasion of the inaugural line dance competition held by the Country Line Dance Association of Singapore in June 2002. Whilst in Singapore, she held workshops and appeared as guest instructor at various events. During 2003, Kim was a guest instructor at Xmas events held in Los Angeles and San Diego, California. Articles covering these trips were published in Linedancer Magazine and pictures taken at the various events can be seen on her website.
