want to learn

Heidi - 05/05/2007
I saw somebody do this dance when it first came out and desperately wanted to learn it. I loved it and years later I still do but not many other people seem to do it anymore at socials etc. Since having a baby, I just have to sit down for a bit afterwards as I don't seem to have the energy I had when I first learnt it. Not learnt a better dance since this one, goes with the music really well. Shame no one writes dances like this anymore, I love all the body rolls etc. Well done Rob with this one, I think people will love it for a few years more yet!!

I agree with the above. It's great. I didn't get taught this dance I was a bit young at the time. I watched it from the dance floor and kept picking up dance moves. Love the body rolls and the jumps at the beginning. If there are any dancers going to dance auditions just add a bit of THE BEAST into your routine and you will shock the judges. It worked for someone on Strictly Dance Fever. There is defently something in the water of this dance !!!!

The Beast is THE dance.

I learnt this dance at one of Rob's videos with the Cheap Seats in my front room!! Since then, whenever I get the chance to dance it I am there like a shot, even now! five years on from when I first learnt it! One to go down in history! Very hard to beat! Well done Rob! One of many great dances from you!

I remember when I was taught this dance I did have trouble at first but once mastered it was great and all this time after I still love to dance it at socials E.t.c. It will always be one of my favorates because it somehow gives me abit of a buzz when dancing it (even if I need to sit down for a while after to catch my breath!). Well done Rob.

this is still the best dance i have ever learnt, i took me guite a long time to master, still two years on i still love it, a milestone for all Choreographers. 5 boots doesn't give this enough justice! nice one rob

Great music, great dance - however contary to some of the comments above it is a dance for younger people (I'd like to see a 70 year old doing the running man steps at the start of the dance). Having said that there is the easier dumbed down version "Adams Ale" which can be danced alongside with no problems to either dancer....

I love this dance. I had seen people doing it at a demo and asked if they could teach me it because if looked so good. It's a really energetic dance which makes it appeal to me.

Becky - 01/05/2003
This dance is really class and I learnt it as a beginner. An added bonus was dancing it in front of The Cheap Seats themselves at a gig a few years ago(and I got a clap!!!) Very pleased!

Debbie Chandler - 22/04/2001
This dance has been around for quite a long time and is very nice. But as our instructor said, make sure you have good supporting underwear on !!

Adele Palmer - 25/03/2001
I love this dance the musics great and it is very energetic i love performing it!

Jessie lou - 25/02/2001
This dance is fun and energetic but everyone says its just a kids dance, well i think thats wrong as i know people at my local dance class in there 60's and 70's who still love this dance even if it has been around awhile, so all i have to say is great dance rob!!!

Kay - 12/08/2000
I found this difficult to grasp at first, but the music (something in the water - Cheap Seats) carries you along. A great show dance.

Lyndsay Moutter - 30/07/2000
I like this dance as it a dance not many people seem to be able to do. This makes it fun and challenging to do in front of all those that don't. Doing a dance like this as best as you can in front of all those people gives you a chance to practise posture and enthusiasm for competing. When I dance to this I am normally alone and when I have completed the routine, I always get a good cheer at the end which shows the audience must have enjoyed my performance, which also gives me confidence for competing.

Absolutely brilliant - though really difficult at first!
