Absolutly fell in love with the music, then fell in LOVE with the dance. Was tricky learning scuff, hitch, step with out music, but once music started it fit with no problems. BIG BIG hit with all my classes.

my classes just love this dance

Becky - 02/05/2003
sorry I forgot to rate the dance.

Becky - 26/04/2003
Like it,smashing dance, and is still going around.

I'm usually very keen on dances by Maggie Gallagher but I'm afraid I find the music uninspiring and the dance also. Question of taste I suppose, sorry Maggie.....

This dance has got the lot! Terrific "feelgood" track and great choreography which fits the music like a glove.! Its a real joy to dance Na Mara - the whole class finishes that final sailor step with big grins on their faces. I predict that we will be dancing this one for many years to come........its that special !

Ed Ybarra - 28/06/2002
I do like this dance very much. I only wish the entire dance was a bit longer. A bit tricky at first, but once mastered, it just flows...

Jan - 17/06/2002
Superb dance still my favourite after 2 months. Once mastered never forgotten!

David - 05/06/2002
This is a brilliant dance with the music fitting exactly to the dance. it can not be anything less than a 5 "booter"

Angie - 22/05/2002
The music leaves a lot to be desired and put me of learning the dance.

Bella - 20/05/2002
Oh dear, sounds like a herd of Irish elephants dancing this! Not one of Maggie's better dances IMHO.

everyone I have taught this dance to loves it except for the odd one ...the dance is sweeping the country what more can I say other than thanks to maggie gallagher for another hit....as usuall it fits well and is so original than the usuall steps dances are usually made up of this to me shows the expertise in choreography and as always by maggie music well understood and accounted for in the steps.

Agree with Bill in an earlier review of this dance. Just learnt this dance after hearing a lot of hype about it and have to say that it really is rather drab. The music is totally uninspiring & the steps just don't seem to go to the music. Maggie G had definitely choreographed many dances much better than this. Definitely would not recommend it.

I'm 15 and a beginner..this dance is so "get up and 'ave a go" that I couldn't resist..it's WICKED..

philmarson - 12/05/2002
WICKED!!!!!

Chris L - 08/05/2002
Just been taught this dance and I like it.

jim sandham - 28/04/2002
Great dance once you get the timing.Really flows with the music and not to fast,so you can add some style to it.ten out of ten?, oops that should be five out of five oh well never mind!!!

Sharon - 25/04/2002
I just had to share this dance with my class the moment I heard the music. Our dancers seem to enjoy shouting "Step, Scuff, Hitch, Step" as much as I do! The music does take a while to get going but it's well worth the wait. I definitely give this one five boots!

Janet - 24/04/2002
The dance is so good, bit tricky here and there to get you thinking. it fits so well to the music. I really like the music too.Another hit!

Bill - 20/04/2002
Music is lacking in get up and go and is not up to Maggie's standard. I certainly did not like the step, scuff, hitch , step but might be easy if you can dance Irish. Very disappointing especially as it was given thumbs up by Tim Ruzgar.

Elaine - 19/04/2002
Only bin dancin 11 weeks and thought I'd be brave and give it a try...It's reasonably easy, and fun when 30+ are dancin it together, great music track..definately my favourite to date.

Trisha Conroy - 18/04/2002
Was taught this dance at Southport at the weekend.Another winner Maggie

George - 10/04/2002
A really good dance and tricky enough to tax the brain a bit. The timing and holds are crucial. This one has an Irish style and it is refreshing as there have not been many like it recently. Only 32 counts and a simple restart. A MUST TRY dance.

Sheila Evans - 10/04/2002
My favourite dance at the moment. A beautiful Irish dance from Maggie Gallagher. It went down a storm at the St Patrick's Weekend in Southport. 500+ people dancing the 'step, scuff, hitch, down' in perfect timing sounded absolutely fantastic - got straight to the heart!

Divine Ms D - 09/04/2002
Excellent dance and music which surprisingly appeals to all age groups. We have some real fun with this and have even tried couple dancing this to 'Ten Step'
