Love this dance, it took a while to master it, but it was well worth it. My fave dance so far!!!

Niels B. Poulsen - 02/04/2001
This is one of the best dances I've learnt so far. Challenging, very cool and yet so smooth. The music and coreography are a match in heaven. Well done Michael.

Wow! What can you say when the dance is absolutely great and the music... rightly so chosen as the best song of the year in '99.

Robin's right about the triple step rather than coaster step according to the script but hey the variation is cool! Still going strong as a request dance in our clubs and tends to sort out the levels of dancers too giving some motivation to walk it through and raise the level of everybody's enjoyment. Still worth a 5...!

Love the dance, but shocked to find that everyone i know has been doing it wrong (the kick-kick triple-step near the end is 1, 2, & 3, 4, not 1, 2, coaster step - arrggghhhh!). This dance fits PERFECTLY to Sonique's "Put A Spell On You" - but the song sounds terrible coming out of a high-power sound system (the bass on the track is already high enough, adding more just ruins it), so it's something i'm only ever able to do at home with a normal cd player :(

Have done this dance for quite a while now - and am not tired of it - love all the turns. Took a while to pick up completely- a good sign of a lasting dance.

My review above has been entered against the wrong dance - My comments refer to Islands in the Stream. I love Into The Arena. The music is superb and well deserves the Award for Best Dance Track of the Year. The Dance is also excellent, although takes a lot of practice to get right. Well worth the effort.

This dance really flows well, when combined with the music, you are really swept off your feet.

Beautiful dance & music. Took a while, but marvelous satisfaction when you finally get it!I even taught it to a couple of friends. Very much worth the effort.

Lovely music, but this off-the-beat cha-cha has been ruined in our area by folks dancing it on-the-beat, causing utter confusion on the dance floor. It is now off my play list for this reason.

Alan has the words. Its my favourite dance ... so far!. Great music, a dance where concentration is needed. Not easy to learn - thats the secret.

I agree with Alan - This is my favourite dance of all time , I love the music,it took me a long time to master it.

Well worth the effort to learn, marvellous music, challenging steps, plenty of variety and flow. Whilst learning it I needed to use the 1 2 3&4 counts then swop to 1 2 & 3 4 to get the syncopation right as timing it to the music was a challenge initially as the beat isn't strong (also needed the 1 & 2 3 4 for the sailor of course). Wonderfully satisfying now I've mastered it. If you haven't learnt it yet - give it a go, you won't regret it!
