This one has stood the test of time well. Still requested in class. I teach it to beginners rather than improvers and use Gary Allan's music. It is a good dance to show them the importance of holds.

This dance has become a "club classic" for us at Laughter in Line, we like to dance it as a cool down at the end of class - and we like it to the original track. The steps are nice and easy but varied enough to keep people involved. Many thanks and best wishes Jo xx

Smooth, gentle, soft moves and music. This dance has been around at our Club for many years. The Dancers will not let it go. A nightclub two-step is always popular. We call it a "relaxation dance" to fit between fast dances.

I agree with the other Norm, Shakin' the Shack is the best music for this dance. I have been teaching it for a long time. Love it for low intermediates and high beginners.

Excellent! I taught this dance to an intermediate and advance class at the El Paso Community College and they absolutely loved it. Especially to Julio Iglesias tango called El Choclo and to slow to medium danzon music. Thank you Jo Thompson, your dances are tops with me and my students.

This is a nice smooth dance.

What an absolutely fantastic dance! I love the Latin type dances where I can wiggle my hips. Great music and well choreographed.

great little dance,i like dancing it to storyline(by the dean brothers-stuck on you album).

Good as a beginners dance but it makes intermediate dancers fall asleep. Goes well to Smoke Rings In The Dark but it does not go down well at a disco.

There are not many dances which you can do on slow music. This one is just great. Try it!!!

David Eddison - 08/02/2001
This is a great dance not too difficult but you feel as though you can put that bit of style in there, we prefer it to One Night by JC Jones from Toe the Line 4 Disc Two or Elvis Rhumba by Line Dance Heaven from Fever 8

This is gorgeous!!!! I'm not really a fan of slow dances, but this is sooooo lovely...you can totally tell it's one of Jo Thompsons' creations. When done to Gary Allan you can really drift away...like smoke rings in the dark!! Well done Jo, this one is a winner!

This is a perfect Beginner dance, and it´s wonderful to dance. I am a new techer and I´ll try this dance spring 2001 the beginners. I really like this kind of dances, Rumba-dance, to sway away!

Wonderful song, wonderful dance, taught this dance in just 10 minutes. Although Gary Allen's song fits perfect, I also tried an old one: Roger Miller with 'England swings'. Works just as well, only a bit faster.

This is a lovely beginners dance. Whilst Smoke rings in the Dark is a lovely piece to dance to however, my classes prefer to dance it to a Track by Redfern And Crookes Called Tell Rhona, it gives the dance a whole different feel

Sam & Ruth Armstrong - 03/10/2000
We have danced this lovely little dance to various tracks of music and found that it goes well to either slow or fast music. A very popular dance with dancers of all levels.

Lisa Mason - 05/09/2000
Brilliant dance. It fits the Mavericks brilliantly. It is slow which makes it easy for beginners. I've taught it at my club and they all love it because it is slow. it is a must to teach.

JEAN BARLOW - 15/08/2000
Perfect little Beginner Dance. Easy steps, not fast. Good country tune - fits Smoke Rings in the Dark best - Mavericks track too slow.
