We have been doing this dance for over 9 months now, and it is still a favorite and requested every week. Besides.... who wouldn't "WANNA BE ME"? Great dance .... Great tune

My classes love this one although they found it tricky at first. We have also added the "penquin" with some vocal effects as well.

Fantastic music and a dance that everyone can enjoy. Very popular in our classes - requested every week. Nothing too tricky in the dance but with enough 'punch' to it to keep it interesting. Don't miss it.

great dance! the penguin!!!

I love this dance, it is so much fun. My class have added a "penguin" walk and a "squat" walk (put their hands on their knees) during the 3/4 box turn Loadsa fun!

This has got to be my favourite dance at the moment! I love the music too. The dancefloor is always full when this one is played.

Diane Lee - 09/07/2003
Must admit I got all in a tangle to start with, but after a few goes - OMG I love it!! Way to go Ed!

Richard - 05/07/2003
This is one of my favorite dances right now. The music is great and the choreography is novel and fits the music well. This is a great dance!

I absolutely loved this track the moment I heard it. The dance is nice to do and not hard at all to learn. It's what our intermediate dancers clamour for! A dance with no tags, no re-starts, and 32 easy counts - country, but not dreary ... PERFECT! And YET... we taught it weeks ago, and they didn't seem enthusiastic about it at all. In fact, every time we announced "Wanna Be Me", they looked at us as if they've never heard of it!!! Playing it regularly has paid off though and now I think it's finally growing on them... took it's time!!! I'd give it more than 5 boots if I could.

Taught this dance to our club a few weeks ago and its a big hit with all of them!! Great steps- great music. We nicknamed it the 'Wet Knicker' dance, due to the way you move when doing the 1/4 turns!! Well done!!

Taught this dance very soon after the Awards, loved it then & still love it now. Well done Ed.

Just Learnt this dance a few minutes ago. First Impressions are a Brilliant little dance which everyone can enjoy to a great country track. I will teach this one next class now, and with no tags, restarts E.T.C I'm sure my classes will love it, well done Ed (The Urban Cowboy)!

LIN - 10/03/2003
Wish there were more dances around like this one. This is what i call a dance for everyone, easy enough steps to great country music.Brilliant!

karen and nita - 07/03/2003
i loved this dance it just felt so right am so very disappointed that my classes do not agree. great country track, with a dance that fits so well without tags or re starts. only complaint the track is a bit long for a 32 count dance but you can always fade out the music.

David of Lincoln Lone Stars - 04/03/2003
I've always liked Ed's dances and this one might appear a little bit tricky when first learning it but after a few attempts, you realise its quite straighforward. Music from the Keith Urban CD which also contains Somebody like You - the track I find is a bit too long at just over 4 minutes for a 32 count dance and I think I'll be fading it out after 3 minutes to prevent anyone getting bored. Keep em coming Ed.
