Rex The Robot

Irene - 21/10/2000
Unfortunately I have to give this dance 1 mark as there is not a zero option. As an instructor when dances like this are published I wonder where line dancing is heading. I always choose dances that can be adapted to lots of other country tracks. Somehow the site of dancers over 40 jerking their arms about at a country festival thank heavens will never happen. After the recent brilliant Move it on Over shame on you Rob.

A GOOD DANCE WHICH FITS THE MUSIC WELL,PITY ABOUT THE TAG. THE MUSIC IS FUN AND UPBEAT.NOT A DIFFICULT DANCE,BUT WITH NO REPEATS YOU DO NEED TO CONCENTRATE.ONCE ITS CLICKED,ITS FUN GIVE IT A TRY.

I always liked this dance. It's good that some of the older dances are now coming back. This dance fits to a lot of different songs and is a classic
Amazing Faith

Linda Carman - 20/10/2000
Love this dance. The timing can be tricky but when you are calling the dance it should be quick, quick, slow - similar to a rumba beat.
Vertical Expressions

Great dance, fits the Boogie & Beethoven track perfectly - nice to have a dance where you can actually move across the floor instead of just doing intricate steps in one place ...!

Tropicana Parking Lot

I know this is an oldie, but I still like it. Best danced to Devil Went Down to Georgia (Charlie Daniels' version) although can do it as a split floor with Coastin'
Psychabilly Boogie

This is yet another oldie but a goodie - I haven't found a Peter Metelnick dance that I didn't like (eventually!). Quite a simple little dance and goes to lots of different tracks. Danced it again last night and the moves just came flowing back!!
G.I. Blues

Jan - 18/10/2000
Love this little simple 48 count dance - tried not to like it when I realised it was going to be Elvis instead of new country music but fell for it anyway!! It also fits well to lots of other tracks, though. PS - I do like the Benny Hill salute although some us do 'I see no ships' and some do 'ooh, my head' Give it a try, it's nice to dance something that doesn't make your brain hurt trying to remember sections, holds, etc - it has none of these!
