Excellent dance - gone down a storm in Wiltshire - I'd like to see more from this choreographer

Feet Don't Fail Me Now

Lynzy 'Streetwise' Moutter - 17/10/2000
Congratulations to Pete Metelnick for this one! This is a well thought out dance especially with the off-beats in it, which also make it a challenge. I enjoy dancing to this as I can really perform and practise for competition with the steps in it. A good laugh when you start at the wrong time or forget the tag!
Backstreet Attitude

Lin Dotson - 17/10/2000
I'm always happy when I can feel like I'm in sync with today's dance and this helps a 50+ year young gal feel cool! I'm glad i'm able to dance and I enjoy the music.
Drowsy Maggie

Very catchy Irish music. Not for Beginners as has several fast turns. Suit Intermediates. Smashing dance, class loved it. Will do well.
The Real Deal

OK dance. Nothing special. Good beat but dance does not flow too well. Off-the-beat cha-cha which makes it bit difficult to keep to the correct time at first.
Moody Blue (rhumba)

Lovely music (Something Stupid by the Mavericks). Smashing little Rhumba, not too difficult, nor too fast. Flows very well. Most enjoyable dance which fits the music perfectly.
D.N.T.O. (Definitely Not The Opera)

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
One word describes both the dance and the music - SUPERB! Rather difficult to master the diagonal steps, but well worth the effort. Looks lovely on the dance floor. Not one for Beginners though!
Down On The Corner

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
Another great Mavericks track. Dance fun to do although the 'corners' can be confusing at first. Not too difficult, good Beginner could do it.
Into The Arena

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
My review above has been entered against the wrong dance - My comments refer to Islands in the Stream. I love Into The Arena. The music is superb and well deserves the Award for Best Dance Track of the Year. The Dance is also excellent, although takes a lot of practice to get right. Well worth the effort.
Larger Than Life

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
I hated the music when I first heard it, but when I saw how popular the Dance was I tried it and soon changed my mind. The music is great - the dance is great. Everyone loves it. Not for beginners though, as the run of triple turns, pivot turns, back turns still confuse some people. Very popular dance at socials.
Mad 4 It

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
Simple little dance (except last 8 beats which takes bit of practice). Catchy tune. Fun to do with everyone flinging their arms in the air at every opportunity! Strange that script in LineDancer Magazine has no mention of arm movements, but they are written in on the Internet Linedancer script (which incidentally is very confusing) Dance very popular around this area.
Vertical Expressions

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
Lovely relaxing track. Lovely dance which flows beautifully and fits the music perfectly (as long as everyone remembers the tags on Walls 2 & 7 are done). Steps not difficult, a good Beginner could do this dance. Popular now at socials.
What's Your Name

JEAN BARLOW - 17/10/2000
If you haven't learned this yet - DO IT NOW!! Excellent country track (Why Me) with good strong beat. This dance is unusual with some interesting , different steps, great both to dance and to watch. Not suitable for Beginners though. Deserves greater exposure - my class love it!
