Love this dance. Know that there are others to this track. We deliberated and chose this one. Has gone down really well!
Monica Varnell - 19/01/2015
I love the music and the dance
It may not reach the top 20 but I don't care as I love the way the dance flows
( tags easy peasy) we have not done a Rob Fowler dance in a while
Go and listen to the music .

After reading Georgina Andrew review 27/12/14 decided to have a look at this little 32/4 Improver for the New Year. Glad I did has gone down very well with all my classes.
If you like your dances with a little Irish flavour try this one, Music by Nathan Carter - Choreography by Gary O'Reilly. Think I'm right in saying Gary has only choreographed 3 or 4 on his own. Would be nice if this one took off for him. Have a look at this for your Improvers I'm sure they'll enjoy it, especially after the small tag, on the last two walls!!
Finger crossed Gary hope it does well!!

Nice one for your 64 improver, from Rachael. Once again another dance you can add your own style & interpretation. Has gone done well with all my classes. should be around for a while, well worth a teach!!
Thanks Patrick B for your comment regarding Uptown Funk, yes I agree with some of it, but feel we shouldn't really criticise the weaker dances, as the Choreographer has taken time to find the right music, translate the steps to script, and get it published. Maybe not the best dance or interpretation of the music. But let's give them a chance, It can be really of putting for the newer choreographer, that's all I was trying to say.

Nicely flowing dance, the brush steps in the last 8 and the slow jazz box lift it from the ordinary.

Mike Parkinson. Mackie review says CLASS not keen meaning I would imagine that the class don't like it. Judging by her other reviews I don't see funky music being an issue either. Our class were mostly of the opinion.. that that the music is ok & that the dance fits perfectly for the first wall & is then a bit hit & miss. And this is a review section not a 'good' review section. That also takes in not so good reviews which anyone is entitled to post or the platform becomes a joke

Taught this to my new Absolute Beginners, using West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys. They picked it up quickly and liked it; nice intro to Charleston step.

I agree with Margaret. The well choreographed cha cha section, flows along effortlessly to the beaty track. The last thirty two counts, which have a nightclub feel, are very easy to remember. Two restarts. Deserves to do well. Very highly recommended.

Don't know what the problem is with Mackie McCaughey and the dance (Music, a bit Hit & Miss) Totally Disagree that's why the music is No 1 in the music charts. Great dance and nicely interpreted and choreographed by Rob. I understand funky music is not every ones cup tea. There are dances I try and don't like the music or the dance. But never give a bad review, just don't review that should be enough.
Uptown Funk!! Great dance, Great Music!! Attitude is the key to this one!! My dancers love it in Llandudno!!
Mackie MCCAUGHEY - 16/01/2015
