I just learnt this one from Martin Richie who has been in Canada and I simply love it. The song is so beautiful and Martins teaching was so clear.
One of the best current dances and I think it deserves to be a big hit!
I don't see myself getting bored with the dance either. Thanks Martin!

Sorry - still hate the music and the dance. This is however my personal opinion which I have a right to!

Taught this last week after a few weeks of doubt because of the intermediate/advanced classification. If you leave out the whole turns to start with it's not that difficult! Great dance!!!! To a great country track!!! My whole class loved it, even the non-country lovers. Fits beautifully to the music, well done Alan!

Certainly a "fun" dance, so if you care to call it stupid that's up to you.....Tastes differ everywhere (thankfully, otherwise we would all forever be doing the same dances), and try choreographing something yourself if you think you can do better! But I would dispute whether it is a "stayer" or not as it still fills the floor here in Holland two years on........ We (still) use it for demo's and the public still seem to like it.

Taught this dance several weeks back not sure how they would take it, and they loved it, and it's now requested every week without fail. One of my personal favourites at the moment too!

This is a variation (an Illegal variation at that) of the original Electric Slide - learn the dance correctly : http://ric06379.tripod.com

Why isn't everyone doing this dance? It's brilliant. I learnt it in Spain where it's very popular but in England no-one seems to do it. They dance Vertical Expressions to Hero round here. OK, but sad....

Great stuff. Very energetic and aerobic. A hybrid between Shakatak and Bahama mama. But who cares? Go for it!
