Cross Your Mind

Quite a nice dance which doesn't need too much concentration. Shame it's not a two wall dance because the end would be nice done contra (man bowing-woman curtesying. However, my classes like it as it is. Definitely worth teaching.
Bump Bounce Boogie

At 183 bpm this is FAST but once you have the hang of it, it's a really satisfying way to dance to a "jazzy" song and makes a good change from the more usual music that seems to be doing the rounds.

As a new dancer the vogue for this dance has passed in our club. However, we do it (very) occasionally and I think it's a terrific dance. The music is also fantastic. Took a while of practicing at home to do it and I'm glad of that effort even though it's rarely put into action on the dance floor.
Shania's Moment

I'm impressed with Gemma's beginners... as a beginner myself I found it quite challenging initially! We also see a choice after step 10 of a sailor turning quarter left or a shuffle turn 3-quarters right and that can confuse. The tempo mix is hard to find but essential and great when it's played (the version on Come On Over is noticeably slower). I love the dance but need reminding how to do it if we haven't done it for a while as there are quite a few "bits" in it. Well worth having a go.

This is such a good dance to do once you have managed to get your head around it. For those of you who enjoy a challenge - Try doing it to "Absolutely Everybody" by Vanessa Amorosi. It will certainly put you to the test. Brilliant!
