My name is Levi J. Hubbard and I'm 28 years old, I live in San Diego, CA orginally from Tennessee this is just a short Bio of how I got into linedancing. I was first introduced to linedancing back in Dec of 98', by a friend of mine. Who at the time talked me into going with her to a Country Dance club in Knoxville, Tn. I had always been intrested in it but never had the chance to attend a class or go out and learn, until then. After that I wanted to learn more about dancing and started looking around for a local class to attend. It wasn't until Sept of 2000 that It wasnt' until one night I was out with some friends at a local nightclub that we had been going to since 97' that I overheard the DJ annouce about Linedance classes. So a friend of mine and I started going and from then on I was hooked, I attend my first workshop in Nov 2000, in Knoxville, where we learned many dances. It wasn't until May 2001 that I tried my hand at Choreography, me and a good freind of mine got together and choreographed our first linedance (Stayin Alive), we showed a few friends of ours the dance and it was a hit. So I began to choreograph a few more dances, but it wasn't until Aug 2001 that I choregraphed (Rascal Shuffle) and I gave it to my linedance instructor, the following week she was teaching it and the class really liked it. I began to become intrested in teaching, but didn't know how to go about it, until in Dec 2001, the owner of a local dance club approched me and asked if I would like to start teaching there once a week. So I did it and I really enjoyed it, I had my first workshop in May 2002, it was great. I taught there for about a year. I haven't been teaching since moving here to CA. but I'm looking around and hope to be doing it again. My future goal is to start entering into Linedance competions, also I've been working and a new website. In the mean time I'll contine to choreograph and dance. Thanks for taking the time to read and get to know more about how I got into the great form of dance.
