Finish The Poem

We asked you to come up with an ending to this Poem we came up with.

  • I rush home from work,  With a great big smirk
  • Rush up the stairs,  And look through my shoes in pairs
  • It's seven o'clock,  And Islip on my Blochs
  • I skip to my car, I don't have to travel far
  • There's people waiting at the door, My friends from the dance floor
  • Everyone is feeling Fine, And can't wait to get in Line

The winning entrants where Carol Johnson, Lesley Cherry and Sally Ann Black.

I turn on my player and what do I find, I have gone and left all my CD's behind, Oh No...I cry , I can't play a thing, There is only one option, I will just have to sing, So I plug in the mic, and tuen round to see, All my class members, trying to flee, Pushing and shoving, they head for the door. It is quite apparent, "They have heard me before"

Diane Blairs

Linedancing in mined, I'd like to express the way that i feel, I'll do my best, with patterns of steps arranged in my head, put to musical time is excitment indeed. Some of the moves I'd like to convey, with heel hooks, spins, swivels, & sways, extended grapevines, kicks , flicks and stomps, make this wonderful pastime, FEEL SO GOOD.

This new dance's fast and our feet ache, and there's 4 tags and 2 restarts for heavens sake. But our love of dancing spurs us on, then the DJ says,"and the final one!" Doesn't time fly when you're having fun!

THE QUESTION IS-DOES ANYONE KNOW- WHEN WE LEARN A NEW DANCE-WHERE DO OLD ONES GO? WELL OF COURSE THE ANSWER TO THAT BECOMES CLEAR- WHEN THE OLD DANCE STARTS UP AND YOUR FEET AREN'T IN GEAR!!!

What has teacher got in store tonight. 2 tags and a restart to add to our plight. But the music will guide us and show us the way. I'll never remember, I've had a hard day. Then 6 weeks later, when we've just got it right. And enjoying, and dancing it into the night. Then next week at class, when we take to the floor. And patiently wait but, it's not done anymore. Things have moved on at a heck of a pace. You'd think it was some kind of marathon race. Kate and Robbie's new dance has a 96 count. To some God awful music, think I'll sit this one out. But do not despair, there's a glimmer of hope. Just slow down your metabolism, then you might cope. RELAX and have fun with your friends on the night. Does it matter at all if you don't get it right. Perhaps next week at class, will bring something more musical. That begs to be danced to, with far more enthusical. (lol) Maybe Toby or Dolly, the options are vast. The ones that are country are the ones that will last.
